FLORA Organic Calendula and Chamomile Infused Jojoba Oil - 1.7fl oz

Our organic Calendula officinalis flower heads (seeds & petals), grown deep orange, are mixed with organic German Chamomile flowers and slowly infused into organic cold-pressed golden jojoba oil over 6 weeks at a controlled temperature for optimal extraction. We create our plant oils in small batches only, using organic and responsibly sourced ingredients. This oil is not considered essential, as Calendula flowers have low volatile compound levels (~0.2%) and yield low distillation rates. The best way to capture all the benefits of these plants is through slow extraction of the entire flower head (seeds & petals) into an oil that enhances their beneficial properties. Calendula is a versatile plant known for its benefits to dry and damaged skin, and can be used on its own, mixed with other oils for massages, or added to skincare products like salves, creams, and masks.

To maintain the beneficial properties of our Calendula & Chamomile oil for years, we package it in light-resistant, amber glass bottles that prevent light degradation. This oil is made with a botanical extract ratio of 1:5, meaning 1 part flowers to 5 parts jojoba oil, resulting in 17% botanicals in each bottle. We do not include any fragrances or extracts in our oils, making them suitable for delicate baby skin and sensitive skin. Calendula flowers are packed with antioxidants, while Calendula seeds boast high resin content. Jojoba oil, often referred to as a liquid wax, is rich in omega-9 waxy fatty acids that closely resemble the natural oils in human skin. This allows it to penetrate deeply into the skin, unlike other natural oils, without leaving behind any greasy residue or feeling.
